Day Eight. Trim Thursday

   Well, I've made it a week! This ended up being harder than I expected, but I am enjoying it.
   Today for Trim Thursday, I'm sharing three healthy foods that I'm enjoying.

1. Spinach. Although I hate it raw, I've been liking it when I cook it. It's really good for you. It has vitamin C and antioxidants among other things. This morning I put some spinach in my scrambled eggs. I also like putting a handful of raw spinach into smoothies.

2. Kombucha. My new found favorite drink! Its a fermented probiotic drink (probiotics are great for your gut), sort of like Kefir. It's naturally fizzy and has a slight vinegar tang (which I like, but not all people do) It has very trace amounts of alcohol, but you'd have to drink about 8 bottles to actually feel the effect. Basically, it's like drinking pickle juice, but it tastes better.

3. Avocados. I mashed one and put some salt and pepper in it, then put it on a sandwich with barbecued pork, goat cheese (which is AMAZING), and a fried egg. It was really good. Avocados can also go into smoothies easily. They have B, C, and E vitamins along with fiber and good fats, so it's not a bad idea to add some into your diet.
