Hey everyone! I hope you had a blessed Easter! A few weeks ago I wrote a song about Mary Magdalene experiencing Jesus' death first hand.
v. 1
I'm looking up at you,
I know your life is gone.
Satan's used your people
as his wicked pawn.
You're bruised and you're broken,
You're hanging on a tree,
You could have called on angels,
but you're hanging now...for me?
chorus
Master, why?
How could you die?
Why trade your life for mine?
Holy Jesus,
lamb of God,
All glory, Lord, be thine.
v. 2
I'm weeping at your tomb,
why have they taken you?
What do the people think
a dead messiah could do?
Then, you call my name,
my soul, now revive,
death could not keep you in grave
my Jesus is alive!
chorus
bridge
Ascending into heaven,
I watch you leave this earth,
you've changed world's existence,
you've given us new birth.
You've promised to return,
I pray it won't be long,
I will live my life for you,
I will praise you with my song!
chorus
~Promise.
